Becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor isn’t about checking boxes or collecting shiny certifications like trophies. Sure, there are a million trainings out there that promise to make you a "better therapist," but here's the truth: none of them matter until you figure out who you are in this role.

You can’t just sit back and wait for a manual to show you the way. You’ve got to get out there, take risks, work with populations that light a fire in you, and use the tools that align with your gut, your truth, about what actually creates change. Forget the cookie-cutter mold. Your power lies in doing it your way.

In going back and forth with if I would open my doors to LPC-Associates and graduate interns, I wondered if they would be able to get everything that they needed to be successful as a therapist. Then I remembered the lessons I had to learn on my own and how long it took me to ditch the script and do things in a way that was authentic to me.

I built my practice from scratch, working exclusively online since 2018 when people said it wasn’t possible. I’ve been labeled as unprofessional and a rule pusher because I didn’t do things like everyone else.

I decided that it was time that I embrace others that are trying to do things in a way that is true to them. I don’t follow any particular theory and would label myself Post Modern if I had to stick myself in a box. I have a strong belief in putting the needs of my clients first and making sure that they are getting just what they need in order to produce lasting change.

What to Expect

So, here’s what you can expect during supervision with me. My aim is to make sure you not only develop as a professional but also stay true to who you are because your future clients will connect so much better to the real version of you instead of who you think you’re supposed to be as a therapist.

    There are a lot of therapist out there but none quite like you, supervision will help you highlight what makes your special.

  • Meet Requirements

    Making sure all the checkboxes to obtain an unrestricted license are checked will be the primary focus of supervision.

  • Education

    There’s a lot that your education did not prepare you for, supervision will assist you with understanding how to navigate being a therapist.

  • Preparation for Private Practice

    Develop a foundation for private practice so you can work with the clients you want to work with and create a healthy work life balance.

  • Professional Development

    Being able to constantly learn and adapt to the changes in the profession will be focused on during supervision.

Fee Schedule

$350 per month

This option is ideal for associates who are solely seeking clinical supervision without the need for additional experience, hours, or service exchanges to reduce fees. It’s a perfect fit for those already employed elsewhere who want focused, quality supervision. Associates interested in building or transitioning into their own private practice are also welcome.

Graduate Student Interns

The Graduate Internship at LNC Wellness Center isn’t your typical, stale “check-the-box” experience.
